    Abstract

Book synopsis: The reissue of a classic of child psychoanalysis. Often caricatured in magazines, with the headings "advice and recipes to raise your children", the psychoanalysis of the child is today the place of all the paradoxes. It permeates our culture, so much so that it is used by general practitioners, pediatricians, psychiatrists or psychologists. Yet it is very rarely taught. The material she brought with the cures of children, the perspectives she opened up from the highlighting of infantile sexuality and the psychic conflicts that are at the origin of her anxiety and depression are incomparable. For many psychoanalysts, it nevertheless remains a sub-specialty, which merely applies to children the discoveries of adult psychoanalysis. Finally, and this is not the least serious, if the effectiveness of therapeutic follow-up of children is recognized, the status of the child psychoanalyst is not. This collection brings together the most prestigious contributions to child psychoanalysis, from its two founders, Anna Freud and Melanie Klein to the most recognized therapists today. It intends to convince of the specificity of the psychoanalysis of the child and especially of its extreme importance in the accompaniment of our children.
