The history in pictures
Nead, Lynda (2010) The history in pictures. Cultural and Social History 7 (4), pp. 485-492. ISSN 1478-0038.
This article considers the relationship between the picture as historical document and as aesthetic experience. The pleasures of the image should be recognized as a fundamental quality of this particular form of historical evidence.
