Conference panels will take place in conjunction with literary events and readings. The event will also include a new fiction competition (winner to be published by Myriad Editions), and a series of creative writing workshops run by new authors. Both conference and festival events will take place in the Pavilion Theatre and the Dome Concert Hall, in the heart of Brighton. This will involve the reading and discussion of first fictions by new authors, alongside the reflection of established authors on their own early work, and on innovation in fiction more generally. The discussion and performance of new fiction will take place alongside a series of reflections on the relationship between creative and critical writing, and the role of this relationship in the generation of new creative possibilities.
