    Abstract

Additional Information: Translated book synopsis: With the publication of this book, the Group for Literary Exile Studies (GEXEL) wanted to pay tribute to the so-called "second generation", that of children who had to leave the country in different circumstances as a result of the civil war. These children of exiles have occupied and occupy a place if possible more border and marginal in that border and marginal space that is our republican exile of 1939. Mexico was the country that with greater solidarity and political involvement welcomed our exiles, and therefore did not It is strange that the best known sector of this «second generation» is the one based in this country, but also, undoubtedly, the reception work of many other countries has been important: Algeria, Argentina, Chile, Cuba, the United States, Italy , France, Soviet Union, Uruguay. Located, in effect, Between two cultures, two lands, two times, these writers have found themselves located, as Octavio Paz said, in a kind of "limbo" that has made it difficult to spread and recognize a work of undoubted quality and value. The publication of these testimonies and studies, which include both the interventions of some of the most prominent voices of this «second generation» (Fernando Aínsa, Aitana Alberti, Federico Álvarez, Carlos Blanco Aguinaga, Manuel Durán, Angelina Muñiz-Huberman, Federico Patán , Roberto Ruiz, Tomás Segovia, Maruxa Vilalta) as well as the analyzes of several of the best scholars of our republican exile, aspires to bring this «second generation» out of limbo from oblivion and ignorance. Some testimonial and scientific materials that, without a doubt,
