    Introduction: Ursula Rani Sarma is a writer of Irish/Indian descent. Some of Ursula's recent plays for the stage include a new version of Lorca's Yerma (West Yorkshire Playhouse), RIOT (A.C.T. San Francisco), Birdsong (The Abbey), The Dark Things (The Traverse, Won Best New Play and Best Production at the Critics Awards’ for Theatre in Scotland 2010), The Exchange (Eugene O’Neill Theater Center), The Spider Men (The National Theatre, London) and The Magic Tree (Edinburgh Festival Fringe). Ursula co-founded Djinn Productions in 1999, and as of February 2012, has been joined by Róisín McBrinn as co-Artistic Director of the company. She discusses her playwriting and forthcoming projects with Fintan Walsh, including The Ripple Effect which will appear as part of the Cultural Olympiad.
