Abstract
Event synopsis: Will be the theme of truth and dissimulation Bruno's Festival of Nola for its inaugural edition, dedicated to the memory of Luigi Firpo, scheduled on 20 to 23 February 2014. A theme that arises from the dialectical tension between the two terms in the philosophical and biographical story of Giordano Bruno, in particular in the light of the last season and the speculative process, which was the final work of Bruno. Outcome, dramatic but not granted, the latter depend on the definition of the value of philosophy and the philosopher's mission in Bruno , which he defended in the long and alternate comparison with its judges, now affirming decisively, now dissimulandolo for fear and set procedural tactic. In the final choice of Bruno the destinies of the nascent modern philosophy.
