Abstract
Theme of the conference and the event in general: The question of power has long characterized, and still characterizes, the literature on the history of Western institutions in the transition from medieval to modern, placing particular emphasis on the close relationship between theology and religious thought on the one hand, and the policy and law on the other. It seems indeed worth, for these disciplines, the definition of "geminae ortae" that Vico ascribed to philology and philosophy. Among the events of CRIPT held to date, the Festival of the theology of Verona of thematically linked especially to two of them, held in May 2012 in London, and in February 2013 in Geneva, respectively entitled: 'epigenesis' in the history of powers and laws: re-describing the debate on potency and poverty and 'Sit pro ratione voluntas': the modern âge de la et la norms 'métaphysique de la volonté' .Proseguendone results, the Verona meeting aims to discuss issues of power and of justice by examining the notions of potestas, honor and caritas as a moment of reflection on the contribution of theology and religious thought of the late medieval to the formation of modern thought.
