Abstract
In NUCLEAR FAMILY, Erin and Travis Wilkerson invite their audience on a family road trip to nuclear silos across the US West. In this article, I discuss how NUCLEAR FAMILY disrupt “nuclear normality”, (as outlined by Robert J. Lifton and Eric Markusen). Further, I explore how the film's frequent reference to “Invasive Species” articulates an ongoing narrative of apocalypse and the human obsession with war.
