Abstract
De psychoanalyse geeft inzicht in de weerstand tegen zowel het verspreiden als het horen van nieuws over de klimaatverandering. Dat doet zij door de retoriek en psychodynamica van groepen te onderzoeken. "Kijkers zijn natuurlijk gewend aan verhalen en verslagen over onrust in de wereld, maar ze zijn ook gewend aan de geïnstitutionaliseerde verschijningsvormen van gezag, competentie, teamwerk en kalmte die het nieuws als zodanig overstijgen en zo voor een zekere beheersbaarheid zorgen."
