Abstract
Book synopsis: The main objective of this research is to offer original foundation conceptual and statistical debate on the many contributions that the system university can provide to the economy. The novelty lies in dealing with this theme in an integrated manner, taking into account the entire spectrum of activities carried out by universities (teaching, research and knowledge transfer ), and adopting an approach according to which the universities, as well as individuals who work and study, based on the incentives analyzed within a model of an economic nature.
