Abstract
Event synopsis: Innovation and internationalization affect each other as well as firms, industries and the economy in general. There are a variety of issues and research topics within this general theme: from the impact of innovation on internationalization and its various modalities; to the impact of internationalization on organizational and technological innovation; to the effects that both elements separately and in combination have on the regional and local economies; to industry specificity; to firms’ studies; to international networks and their impact on innovation; to the impact of innovation in the international context of specific industries and their structures; to the interaction with entrepreneurship. The speakers will focus on some of these themes. At the end of the presentation, speakers will give their views on as many as possible of the following points in relation to the specific topic of the presentation: Possible methodologies and issues around them Data problems Policy issues Possible research developments These and other points will be picked up in the General Discussion Session at the end of the day. It is hoped that the presentations and the general discussion will be of benefit to the audience for the development of various pieces of researches as well as for possible funding applications in this area.
