Book synopsis: This anthology focuses on the sexual orientation that most take for granted, namely heterosexuality . Heterosexuality is normative and regulates everyone's existence - regardless of sexual orientation and gender. Despite extensive research in recent years , this small degree debated in the Norwegian context . In this book discusses several prominent scholars current issues related to heteronormativity in their studies of heterosexism , family policy , new family forms, homophobia , etc. The authors also examine how heteronormativity challenged in recent theorizing . The book is aimed at researchers , teachers and students. The positioning themselves in relation to traditional gay research, queer research, gender studies in general and sexology , and will therefore also be relevant for people who work in these fields of theoretical, practical and political.
