Abstract
Book synopsis: When you think that the theories of recognition already have decades of history behind it, it is surprising to note how their relevance appears still unchanged today, if not even incrementata.Il issue of recognition seems to have painstakingly gone through a bit 'all the recent seasons, putting significantly in relation to the material with the immaterial, the share with the science of social, governmental policies with the protests of those seeking cambiamenti.Ed arises here, in the opinion of the editors, its profoundly political aspiration, when setting up the ability to hold together through a single orientation struggles, recognition and rights. The reflections in this volume - deliberately different both theoretical approach in geography - provide a vision 'critical' and 'global' of this nexus. A vision that does not want to limit itself to the complaint of some form particolaredi human reification, but still refuses to think of recognition as yet another general expression of humanity and that, therefore, wants to give hospitality to the individual struggles-riconoscimento- links thinking them rights as manifestations of a new perspective, political and universal on the individual's dignity and social justice.
