Abstract
Bale and Feldman collaborated with the Jewish Museum, Camden Town, in developing the exhibition Blood (5 November 2015 to 28 February 2016). The exhibition was curated by Joanne Rosenthal of the Jewish Museum; Bale and Feldman edited the accompanying book Blood: Reflections on what unites and divides us, and both the exhibition and book were conceived through the Pears Institute for the study of Antisemitism. Academic events accompanied the exhibition, including lectures by Roger Luckhurst (Birkbeck), Jonathan Boyarin (Cornell), and Adam Rutherford, and further follow-up academic symposia are planned for later in 2016. The Independent awarded the exhibition a ★★★★ rating and said "The exhibition encourages us to think, hard, about the rich ambiguities that surround the notion of blood"; The London Times said "Remarkable...It's not often that an exhibition at a smallish museum makes such a big point."
