Macmillan, Fiona (2010) Intellectual property and intellectual space: another excursion into hyperreality? In: The Epoch of Space: Thematizing the ‘and’ of Law and Space, June 2010, Birkbeck College, University of London, London, UK. (Unpublished)
Abstract
Event synopsis: We will invite participants to explore the points of convergence, divergence, the contradictions and tensions that might emerge from the engagement of legal theory with concepts such as mapping, scale, territory, and boundary, among others as well as with practices of emplacement, zoning, displacement, and so on. Our aim is to open the debate to start questioning the implicit subordination of the spatial dimension to an already given territory and social production within law.
