Abstract
This article studies the intellectual trajectories of the two authors of the title with respect to their visions of Europe and in connection to their belonging to the Spanish Republican exile. It looks at how Aub's conceptualisation of socialism and Semprun's progressive embracement of liberalism affect their visions of Europe.
