Abstract
As part of the first comprehensive overview of the life and work of the pioneering British concrete and sound poet Bob Cobbing (1920–2002) this chapter argues for the continued importance of his early poetry and organisational work in the 1950s. In doing so it give particular attention to his seminal poem 'Worm', a poem he visited many times over his career.
