Abstract
Book synopsis: This book examines the policies followed or implemented by the Ministry of Labor for a century in the areas of employment, vocational training and worker protection. These policies are approached from different angles that attempt to relate public action, social protection, speeches by experts and the role of trade unionists. Proposing comparisons with neighboring countries, questioning the categories and representations of the actors, the book takes an original look at major institutions of French political life.
