    Abstract

This short chapter examines the work of the UK's Institute of Race Relations in archiving and accounting for various forms of institutional and structural racial violence. The chapter argues that this process of archiving, which includes documenting and analysing systemic racism is, itself, a constituent part of anti-racism work. This work is instructive for the German context, in which there are particular challenges to identifying, analysing and recording patterns of racism.
