Havemann, Leo (2018) Opening moves in higher education: from access to social justice? In: Learning and Teaching Seminars, 6 Feb 2018, London, UK. (Unpublished)
Abstract
Learning and Teaching Seminar, Birkbeck Centre for Transformative Practice in Learning and Teaching. This session will discuss the Open Education movement as currently constituted, and how it has tended to emphasise the goal of opening up access to digital information. The presentation will connect today’s drives for educational openness with some of historical, pre-digital roots, and consider what, beyond access, being ‘open’ stands for. The session will consist of part presentation and part interactive workshop.
