Abstract
Book synopsis: A real communication supposes a knowledge of the cultural references of the interlocutor: the language teaching is re-found today and intends to develop on this observation - at the same time observation of common sense, pertinent grid of observation of the practices teaching in modern languages, starting point for an interpellation of all the disciplines likely to enlighten this knowledge (the "contributory" disciplines), and principle for the implementation of programs and methods always better adapted. All for the immediate benefit of the students themselves, who will find in the learning of modern languages elements of their personal training, where the knowledge of the other will help them build their identity. The publication of these acts offers all language educators and their trainers the theoretical underpinnings of building the cultural competences they observe in the classroom. Around the language didactics intervene specialists (cited in a random order) of sociology, philosophy, ethnology, linguistics, geography, documentation, history, aesthetics, literature, cinema, training of migrants, economy and management ... Enlightened by these teachers can better ensure this vital component of modern language teaching.
