Abstract
Book synopsis: The volume is the catalog of the Milan exhibition (Castello Sforzesco, 7 December 2007 - 2 March 2008). The exhibition presents, through rare and unique original materials, the passion of Leonardo da Vinci for studies on the proportions of the human figure and the modular division of the horse's body. In fact, Leonardo da Vinci dedicated numerous chapters of his Treatise on Painting to the proportions of human members and to the "membership" of animals and their movement through descriptions of battles and battling horses. The book collects rare drawings, sketches and documents related to this production and shows all the harmony intact.
