Abstract
In [4] T. Gneiting considered the problem of constructing suitably smooth compactly supported correlation functions that are relevant for real world applications such as atmospheric data analysis. In this paper we revisit one of his proposals, a parameterized family of function, for which a new closed form representation is derived
