Abstract
That intellectual property, and with it copyright, has expanded dramatically in recent years is by now a commonplace. In his most recent book, Peter Baldwin proposes to look at this phenomenon from a longer historical perspective attempting to rise above the particular conflicts of the digital revolution, in search of a more fundamental question that may help frame these current disputes.
