Abstract
Conservationists wrestle with antithetical urges towards universality and diversity. A quest for blueprints for saving biodiversity exists sympatrically with acknowledgment of the plurality of ways of living in the natural world. Acknowleding deep diversity and complexity in nature and human societies, coexistence offers visions for conservation additional to enumerating biodiversity decline and defending protected areas, or seeking general blueprints for saving Nature.
