Abstract

Introduction: On the 18th March 2012, the final Alternative Miss Ireland (AMI) will take place at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin. The queer beauty pageant is now 18 years old, and for the dedicated organising collective, this coming of age seems like the right time to hang up the crown and sash.
