Abstract
This volume focuses on those texts of Rilke, the 1922-1926 - arose - according to the "Duino Elegies". This period includes "The Sonnets to Orpheus," Rilke's poems in French, which Valéry-translations, the lyrical correspondence with Erika Mitterer, but also a large number of individual poems, which can be grouped to landscape and characters like the magician figure thematically. "After Duino" now combines essays, where a broad range of critical approaches and methods is based. The spectrum ranges from close reading about genre theory considerations to investigation of intertextual relations, individual motifs and topoi.
