Like any memorial acute crisis management and criminal eras, the history of the period 1933-1945 was first written in the margin of a more anxious to turn the page opinion that to remember. By dramatically demonstrate the accountability of public officials, the great trials of the 1960s (Eichmann Einsatzgruppen , Auschwitz) fueled challenge by the younger generation of the past of their fathers. Fiction, polemics media reports and spectacular exhibitions contributed to awareness. This was for example the case of the presentation to the public crimes of Wehrmacht , which destroyed the myth of the noble army compared to the SS responsible for all ills. Las Republic of endemic crisis in the electorate of the Reich waited miracle solutions of a providential man. But according to a famous formula, the Germans in 1932 did not vote for war or for Auschwitz. Yet they had both - and Nazism made them instruments of his power. When they became aware it was too late. The inability to act otherwise was not the only reason for joining the plan into its criminal dimension. The current reading is much more nuanced.
