Book synopsis: Reform, Reorganisation, Transformation: These three terms are indicative of more or less profound changes, which went through the German armed forces during the past 200 years. The Military History Research Office documents these changes with a traveling exhibition. This companion volume deepens individual aspects of the topic in a much broader context. In the period from the Ancien Régime to the current processes of transformation of the Bundeswehr renowned authors felt after as well as young scientists of the shape change of the German military and its relationship to society.
